Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Reflections 1 by Ye Jianqing was worth HKD 228,000.00 (€ 22,901.27) to a buyer in May 2006. This price was achieved in the auction Asian Contemporary Art at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 70,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ye Jianqing - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Willow Pond, which sold at auction in May 2007 for HKD 576,000.00 (€ 54,846.95).

Für andere Arbeiten von Ye Jianqing mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Willow Pond beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für HKD 576.000,00 (€ 54.846,95) versteigert wurde.
