This price was achieved in the auction Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy at China Guardian in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 15,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ye Gongchuo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy Couplet In Xingshu in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 2,000,000.00 (€ 236,071.59).
