Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Calligraphy by Ye Gongchao was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2017. The auction ended at the price of HKD 10,000.00 (€ 1,076.65), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 8,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ye Gongchao achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Eighteen-Character Couplet In Running Script in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 236,000.00 (€ 27,277.23).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Calligraphy von Ye Gongchao kam im November 2017 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 10.000,00 (€ 1.076,65) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 8.000,00 – 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ye Gongchao erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Eighteen-Character Couplet In Running Script im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 236.000,00 (€ 27.277,23).
