This artwork by Ye Gongchao achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in February 2021. In the Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online auction, the work Ink Bamboo / Calligraphy In Cursive Script / Calligraphic Couplet In Seal Script sold for HKD 50,000.00 (€ 5,329.53) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ye Gongchao have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Eighteen-Character Couplet In Running Script in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 236,000.00 (€ 27,277.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ye Gongchao erzielte im Februar 2021 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online wurde die Arbeit Ink Bamboo / Calligraphy In Cursive Script / Calligraphic Couplet In Seal Script für HKD 50.000,00 (€ 5.329,53) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ye Gongchao auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Eighteen-Character Couplet In Running Script im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 236.000,00 (€ 27.277,23).
