This artwork by Yasuyuki Nishio achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2008. In the Asian Contemporary Art (Evening Sale) auction, the work Minsk sold for HKD 3,607,500.00 (€ 296,992.77) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 1,600,000.00. This high result makes Minsk the most expensive artwork by Yasuyuki Nishio that we have observed at auctions so far.
