Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Apparition by Yasuyuki Nishio was sold in the Asian Contemporary Sale (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 43,750.00 (€ 4,054.71) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yasuyuki Nishio achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Minsk in May 2008 with an auction result of HKD 3,607,500.00 (€ 296,992.77).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Apparition von Yasuyuki Nishio wurde im Dezember 2008 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Sale (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 43.750,00 (€ 4.054,71) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yasuyuki Nishio erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Minsk im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.607.500,00 (€ 296.992,77).
