Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Cyclist by Yasuo Kuniyoshi was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in June 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 637.50 (€ 538.07). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yasuo Kuniyoshi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Boy With Cow in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 271,500.00 (€ 256,664.78).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Cyclist von Yasuo Kuniyoshi im Juni 2021 bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 637,50 (€ 538,07) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yasuo Kuniyoshi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Boy With Cow im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 271.500,00 (€ 256.664,78).
