The work High Pavilion In Rocky Hills by Yao Wenxie was sold in the The Roy and Marilyn Papp Collection of Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2016. The »bidding war« ended at USD 30,000.00 (€ 26,695.14), 50% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yao Wenxie - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscapes, which sold at auction in March 2017 for USD 75,000.00 (€ 70,106.56).

Die Arbeit High Pavilion In Rocky Hills von Yao Wenxie wurde im September 2016 in der Auktion The Roy and Marilyn Papp Collection of Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 26.695,14) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Yao Wenxie mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscapes beobachtet, die im März 2017 für USD 75.000,00 (€ 70.106,56) versteigert wurde.
