This artwork by Yao Wenxie achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April last year. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction, the work Landscapes and Callilgraphy sold for HKD 352,800.00 (€ 42,656.09) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Yao Wenxie; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Landscapes sold at auction in March 2017 with the realized price of USD 75,000.00 (€ 70,106.56).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 76 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yao Wenxie erzielte im April letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Landscapes and Callilgraphy für HKD 352.800,00 (€ 42.656,09) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 200.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Yao Wenxie; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Landscapes im März 2017 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 75.000,00 (€ 70.106,56).
