A top price for Yao Wenxie - as previously expected
The work Landscapes by Yao Wenxie was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2017. It changed hands for a price of USD 75,000.00 (€ 70,106.56) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Landscapes is the most expensive artwork by Yao Wenxie that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Landscapes von Yao Wenxie wurde im März 2017 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 75.000,00 (€ 70.106,56) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Landscapes das teuerste Kunstwerk von Yao Wenxie, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
