Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Yao Shou achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2021. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction, the work Winter Landscape sold for HKD 2,142,000.00 (€ 229,334.66) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 800,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yao Shou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy In Running-Cursive Script in May 2019 with an auction result of HKD 36,692,500.00 (€ 4,199,446.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yao Shou erzielte im April 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Winter Landscape für HKD 2.142.000,00 (€ 229.334,66) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 800.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yao Shou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running-Cursive Script im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 36.692.500,00 (€ 4.199.446,59).
