Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2015 POLY in Hong Kong held the auction Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Calligraphy In Running Script by Yao Shou. It changed hands for a price of HKD 212,400.00 (€ 24,547.21) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 180,000.00 – 220,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yao Shou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy In Running-Cursive Script in May 2019 with an auction result of HKD 36,692,500.00 (€ 4,199,446.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2015 führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script von Yao Shou zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 212.400,00 (€ 24.547,21) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 180.000,00 – 220.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yao Shou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running-Cursive Script im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 36.692.500,00 (€ 4.199.446,59).
