Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2005 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY, which included the work Poems In Running Cursive Script Calligraphy by Yao Shou. The price achieved of HKD 66,000.00 (€ 7,221.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 55,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yao Shou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy In Running-Cursive Script in May 2019 with an auction result of HKD 36,692,500.00 (€ 4,199,446.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2005 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY durch, in der auch die Arbeit Poems In Running Cursive Script Calligraphy von Yao Shou zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 66.000,00 (€ 7.221,37) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 55.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yao Shou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running-Cursive Script im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 36.692.500,00 (€ 4.199.446,59).
