Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bamboo And Rock by Yao Shou was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2013. The price achieved of USD 149,000.00 (€ 116,260.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yao Shou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy In Running-Cursive Script in May 2019 with an auction result of HKD 36,692,500.00 (€ 4,199,446.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bamboo And Rock von Yao Shou wurde im März 2013 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 149.000,00 (€ 116.260,92) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yao Shou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running-Cursive Script im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 36.692.500,00 (€ 4.199.446,59).
