In November 2016 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Classical Chinese Painting and Calligraphy, which included the work Seven-Character Couplet In Running Script by Yang Borun. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 29,500.00 (€ 3,594.77), 48% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yang Borun - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pine Gove At The Bay, which sold at auction in May 2016 for HKD 81,250.00 (€ 9,391.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 48 % übertroffen
Im November 2016 führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion Classical Chinese Painting and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Seven-Character Couplet In Running Script von Yang Borun zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 29.500,00 (€ 3.594,77) und damit 48% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Yang Borun mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Pine Gove At The Bay beobachtet, die im Mai 2016 für HKD 81.250,00 (€ 9.391,00) versteigert wurde.
