Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Momotsuru of the Kaideya as the God of Writing (Mizukuki no kami) by Yanagawa Shigenobu was sold in the From Artist to Woodblock: Japanese Prints auction at Christies in London in July 2019. It changed hands for a price of GBP 375.00 (€ 411.73) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 300.00 – 400.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yanagawa Shigenobu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The complete set of twelve shunga prints from the series Willow Storm (Yanagi no Arashi) in July 2019 with an auction result of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,234.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Momotsuru of the Kaideya as the God of Writing (Mizukuki no kami) von Yanagawa Shigenobu wurde im Juli 2019 in der Auktion From Artist to Woodblock: Japanese Prints bei Christies in London versteigert.
