This artwork by Yae Asano achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in September 2017. In the The Collection of Edward Albee auction, the work without title sold for USD 10,625.00 (€ 8,994.33) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yae Asano - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Work, which sold at auction in October 2016 for GBP 25,000.00 (€ 27,850.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yae Asano erzielte im September 2017 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Collection of Edward Albee wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 10.625,00 (€ 8.994,33) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Yae Asano mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Work beobachtet, die im Oktober 2016 für GBP 25.000,00 (€ 27.850,76) versteigert wurde.
