A top price for Xu Zhao
When the work Landscape After Ni Zan by Xu Zhao was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2014, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - HKD 80,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than three times as high at HKD 250,000.00 (€ 25,738.23). This high result makes Landscape After Ni Zan the most expensive artwork by Xu Zhao that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis für Xu Zhao
Als die Arbeit Landscape After Ni Zan von Xu Zhao im Oktober 2014 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – HKD 80.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit HKD 250.000,00 (€ 25.738,23) mehr als dreimal so hoch. Dieses hohe Ergebnis macht Landscape After Ni Zan zu dem teuersten Kunstwerk von Xu Zhao, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
