Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Xu Ruotao could be acquired at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction, the work History No. 3 changed hands for HKD 56,250.00 (€ 5,859.75) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Xu Ruotao - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work History No. 4, which sold at auction in April 2012 for HKD 200,000.00 (€ 19,487.49).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Xu Ruotao konnte im Mai 2012 bei Christies in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) wechselte die Arbeit History No. 3 für HKD 56.250,00 (€ 5.859,75) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Xu Ruotao mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit History No. 4 beobachtet, die im April 2012 für HKD 200.000,00 (€ 19.487,49) versteigert wurde.
