Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2011 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Asian Art, which included the work Butterfly by Xu Ruotao. The price achieved of HKD 50,000.00 (€ 4,617.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Xu Ruotao have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work History No. 4 in April 2012 with an auction result of HKD 200,000.00 (€ 19,487.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2011 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Butterfly von Xu Ruotao zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 50.000,00 (€ 4.617,48) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Xu Ruotao auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit History No. 4 im April 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 200.000,00 (€ 19.487,49).
