Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2017 Christies in Shanghai held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale), which included the work Green Mountain After Rain by Xu Lei. It changed hands for a price of CNY 2,880,000.00 (€ 366,430.20) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of CNY 2,000,000.00 – 3,000,000.00. Other works by Xu Lei have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2015 the work Decent Of The Moon was auctioned for HKD 5,900,000.00 (€ 681,867.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2017 führte Christies in Shanghai die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Green Mountain After Rain von Xu Lei zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von CNY 2.880.000,00 (€ 366.430,20) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von CNY 2.000.000,00 – 3.000.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Xu Lei konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im April 2015 die Arbeit Decent Of The Moon für HKD 5.900.000,00 (€ 681.867,05) versteigert.
