Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lost Clouds by Jiang Xu was auctioned at POLY in Hong Kong in October 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 400,000.00 – 700,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 472,000.00 (€ 51,949.18) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jiang Xu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Twelve Views of a Sunflower Field XII in November 2011 with an auction result of HKD 11,300,000.00 (€ 1,081,030.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Lost Clouds von Jiang Xu kam im Oktober 2017 bei POLY in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 400.000,00 – 700.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 472.000,00 (€ 51.949,18) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jiang Xu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Twelve Views of a Sunflower Field XII im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 11.300.000,00 (€ 1.081.030,25).
