Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscapes of History: Wall and Power by Jiang Xu was sold in the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2013. The price achieved of HKD 3,150,000.00 (€ 312,380.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 2,500,000.00 – 3,500,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jiang Xu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Twelve Views of a Sunflower Field XII, which sold at auction in November 2011 for HKD 11,300,000.00 (€ 1,081,030.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Landscapes of History: Wall and Power von Jiang Xu wurde im Mai 2013 in der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 3.150.000,00 (€ 312.380,66) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 2.500.000,00 – 3.500.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jiang Xu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Twelve Views of a Sunflower Field XII beobachtet, die im November 2011 für HKD 11.300.000,00 (€ 1.081.030,25) versteigert wurde.
