Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Chess Figurines Over Grey Background by Jiang Xu was sold in the Chinese and Asian Modern and Contemporary Art auction at POLY in Hong Kong in October 2014. The price achieved of HKD 1,888,000.00 (€ 194,375.10) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 1,600,000.00 – 2,600,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jiang Xu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Twelve Views of a Sunflower Field XII in November 2011 with an auction result of HKD 11,300,000.00 (€ 1,081,030.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Chess Figurines Over Grey Background von Jiang Xu wurde im Oktober 2014 in der Auktion Chinese and Asian Modern and Contemporary Art bei POLY in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 1.888.000,00 (€ 194.375,10) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 1.600.000,00 – 2.600.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jiang Xu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Twelve Views of a Sunflower Field XII im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 11.300.000,00 (€ 1.081.030,25).
