Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Xu Hualing achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2014. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Between No.45 sold for HKD 687,500.00 (€ 70,780.13) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 250,000.00. Admittedly, works by Xu Hualing have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Outside The Window 1 in October this year with an auction result of HKD 2,400,000.00 (€ 290,234.67).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Xu Hualing erzielte im Oktober 2014 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Between No.45 für HKD 687.500,00 (€ 70.780,13) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 250.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Xu Hualing auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Outside The Window 1 im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.400.000,00 (€ 290.234,67).
