The work Garden VIII by Xu Hualing was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May last year. It achieved a price of HKD 126,000.00 (€ 14,958.90), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 26%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xu Hualing achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Outside The Window 1 in October this year with an auction result of HKD 2,400,000.00 (€ 290,234.67).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Garden VIII von Xu Hualing kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 126.000,00 (€ 14.958,90) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 26%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xu Hualing erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Outside The Window 1 im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.400.000,00 (€ 290.234,67).
