Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2021 POLY in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Fishes Under the Pink Tree by Xu Gu. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 80,000.00 – 160,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 96,000.00 (€ 10,674.23) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xu Gu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Chrysanthemums And Peaches in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 6,700,000.00 (€ 737,414.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2021 führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fishes Under the Pink Tree von Xu Gu zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 160.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 96.000,00 (€ 10.674,23) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xu Gu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Chrysanthemums And Peaches im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 6.700.000,00 (€ 737.414,15).
