Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Breeze by Xu Gu was auctioned at POLY in Hong Kong in July last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 40,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 48,000.00 (€ 5,989.41) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xu Gu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Chrysanthemums And Peaches in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 6,700,000.00 (€ 737,414.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Breeze von Xu Gu kam im Juli letzten Jahres bei POLY in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 48.000,00 (€ 5.989,41) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xu Gu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Chrysanthemums And Peaches im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 6.700.000,00 (€ 737.414,15).
