Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2019 POLY held the auction Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work Book from the Sky by Xu Bing. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 180,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 200,600.00 (€ 22,761.35). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xu Bing achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Living Word in April 2008 with an auction result of HKD 7,607,500.00 (€ 626,954.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2019 führte POLY die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Book from the Sky von Xu Bing zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 180.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 200.600,00 (€ 22.761,35) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xu Bing erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Living Word im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 7.607.500,00 (€ 626.954,17).
