Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Xu Bangda achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2017. In the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction, the work Scholar Boating sold for HKD 150,000.00 (€ 17,127.98) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 70,000.00. Admittedly, works by Xu Bangda have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape Inpired by Tang Sentiments in November 2018 with an auction result of HKD 750,000.00 (€ 84,650.71).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Xu Bangda erzielte im Mai 2017 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings wurde die Arbeit Scholar Boating für HKD 150.000,00 (€ 17.127,98) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 70.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Xu Bangda auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscape Inpired by Tang Sentiments im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 750.000,00 (€ 84.650,71).
