The work Fishing In The Countryside by Xu Bangda was worth HKD 750,000.00 (€ 71,171.10) to a buyer in October 2013. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Paintings at Sothebys in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Xu Bangda; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Landscape Inpired by Tang Sentiments sold at auction in November 2018 with the realized price of HKD 750,000.00 (€ 84,650.71).

Die Arbeit Fishing In The Countryside von Xu Bangda war einem Käufer im Oktober 2013 HKD 750.000,00 (€ 71.171,10) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 200.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Xu Bangda; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Landscape Inpired by Tang Sentiments im November 2018 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 750.000,00 (€ 84.650,71).
