Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2014 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern Paintings, which included the work Cats by Xing Cheng'Ai. It changed hands for a price of HKD 187,500.00 (€ 17,732.77) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Xing Cheng'Ai - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Friends, which sold at auction in December 2015 for HKD 437,500.00 (€ 51,973.02).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2014 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cats von Xing Cheng'Ai zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 187.500,00 (€ 17.732,77) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Xing Cheng'Ai mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Friends beobachtet, die im Dezember 2015 für HKD 437.500,00 (€ 51.973,02) versteigert wurde.
