Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cats and Butterfly by Xing Cheng'Ai was sold in the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2016. The price achieved of HKD 225,000.00 (€ 26,005.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 200,000.00 – 250,000.00. Other works by Xing Cheng'Ai have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2015 the work Friends was auctioned for HKD 437,500.00 (€ 51,973.02).
