Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sleeping Series No. 3 by Xin Haizhou was sold in the Contemporary Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 70,000.00 – 90,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 75,000.00 (€ 6,926.22) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xin Haizhou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rule of the Game No. 2 in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 775,000.00 (€ 89,575.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sleeping Series No. 3 von Xin Haizhou wurde im Oktober 2011 in der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 70.000,00 – 90.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 75.000,00 (€ 6.926,22) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xin Haizhou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rule of the Game No. 2 im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 775.000,00 (€ 89.575,66).
