The work Magic-Square, Billiards and Sleeping Series No. 30 by Xin Haizhou was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2011. The auction ended at the price of HKD 60,000.00 (€ 5,367.28), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xin Haizhou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rule of the Game No. 2 in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 775,000.00 (€ 89,575.66).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Magic-Square, Billiards and Sleeping Series No. 30 von Xin Haizhou kam im Mai 2011 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 60.000,00 (€ 5.367,28) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xin Haizhou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rule of the Game No. 2 im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 775.000,00 (€ 89.575,66).
