Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Yao No. 1 by Xie Molin was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2017. It changed hands for a price of HKD 437,500.00 (€ 51,640.66) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 350,000.00 – 450,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Xie Molin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Overlay No. 061, which sold at auction in April this year for HKD 192,000.00 (€ 196,069.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Yao No. 1 von Xie Molin kam im April 2017 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 437.500,00 (€ 51.640,66) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 350.000,00 – 450.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Xie Molin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Overlay No. 061 beobachtet, die im April diesen Jahres für HKD 192.000,00 (€ 196.069,57) versteigert wurde.
