This artwork by Xie Molin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2015. In the Contemporary Asian Art auction, the work Exercise On Strip No. 1 sold for HKD 150,000.00 (€ 17,335.60) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xie Molin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Overlay No. 061 in April this year with an auction result of HKD 192,000.00 (€ 196,069.57).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Xie Molin erzielte im April 2015 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Exercise On Strip No. 1 für HKD 150.000,00 (€ 17.335,60) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xie Molin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Overlay No. 061 im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 192.000,00 (€ 196.069,57).
