In March 2019 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Important Collections of Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy from Asia, which included the work Viewing Waterfall by Xiao Xun. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 33,040.00 (€ 3,748.93), 65% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xiao Xun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape Album in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 649,000.00 (€ 76,373.84).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 65 % übertroffen
Im März 2019 führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion Important Collections of Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy from Asia durch, in der auch die Arbeit Viewing Waterfall von Xiao Xun zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 33.040,00 (€ 3.748,93) und damit 65% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xiao Xun erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape Album im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 649.000,00 (€ 76.373,84).
