It achieved a price of HKD 19,125.00 (€ 2,166.31), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 59%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xiao Xun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape Album in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 649,000.00 (€ 76,373.84).

Die Arbeit Mountain Retreat; Calligraphy in Clerical Script von Xiao Xun wurde im Dezember 2021 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Bonhams in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 19.125,00 (€ 2.166,31) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 59%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xiao Xun erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape Album im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 649.000,00 (€ 76.373,84).
