Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pine by Xiao Sun was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in October 2004. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 8,365.00 (€ 842.67) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xiao Sun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape in November 2013 with an auction result of HKD 162,500.00 (€ 15,406.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Pine von Xiao Sun kam im Oktober 2004 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 8.365,00 (€ 842,67) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xiao Sun erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 162.500,00 (€ 15.406,81).
