The work Landscape by Xiao Sun was worth HKD 108,000.00 (€ 11,246.90) to a buyer in May 2005. This price was achieved in the auction FINE MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY CHINESE PAINTINGS at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 25,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Xiao Sun; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Landscape sold at auction in November 2013 with the realized price of HKD 162,500.00 (€ 15,406.81).
