In May 2016 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas, which included the work Landscape by Xiao Junxian. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 25,960.00 (€ 3,000.50), 73% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xiao Junxian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pine Trees in April this year with an auction result of HKD 66,000.00 (€ 67,398.91).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 73 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2016 führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape von Xiao Junxian zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 25.960,00 (€ 3.000,50) und damit 73% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xiao Junxian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pine Trees im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 66.000,00 (€ 67.398,91).
