Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Xiao Junxian achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2016. In the Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy from the Yong Li Studio auction, the work Landscape After Shixi sold for HKD 162,500.00 (€ 18,308.06) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Xiao Junxian - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pine Trees, which sold at auction in April this year for HKD 66,000.00 (€ 67,398.91).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Xiao Junxian erzielte im April 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy from the Yong Li Studio wurde die Arbeit Landscape After Shixi für HKD 162.500,00 (€ 18.308,06) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Xiao Junxian mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Pine Trees beobachtet, die im April diesen Jahres für HKD 66.000,00 (€ 67.398,91) versteigert wurde.
