In October 2017 POLY in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy I, which included the work Inside The Remote Village by Xiao Junxian. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 64,900.00 (€ 7,143.01), 62% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Xiao Junxian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pine Trees in April this year with an auction result of HKD 66,000.00 (€ 67,398.91).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 62 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2017 führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy I durch, in der auch die Arbeit Inside The Remote Village von Xiao Junxian zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 64.900,00 (€ 7.143,01) und damit 62% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Xiao Junxian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pine Trees im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 66.000,00 (€ 67.398,91).
