Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Seven-Character Calligraphic Couplet in Seal Script by Xiao Huirong was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2018. The price achieved of HKD 81,250.00 (€ 8,876.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 60,000.00 – 90,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xiao Huirong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Plum Blossoms at Dawn in May 2009 with an auction result of HKD 4,100,000.00 (€ 374,415.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Seven-Character Calligraphic Couplet in Seal Script von Xiao Huirong kam im Mai 2018 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 81.250,00 (€ 8.876,93) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 60.000,00 – 90.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xiao Huirong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Plum Blossoms at Dawn im Mai 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.100.000,00 (€ 374.415,97).
