The work Oriental Pearl by Xiao Huirong was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2017. It achieved a price of HKD 725,000.00 (€ 78,057.24), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 51%. Admittedly, works by Xiao Huirong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Plum Blossoms at Dawn in May 2009 with an auction result of HKD 4,100,000.00 (€ 374,415.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 51 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Oriental Pearl von Xiao Huirong kam im November 2017 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 725.000,00 (€ 78.057,24) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 51%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Xiao Huirong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Plum Blossoms at Dawn im Mai 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.100.000,00 (€ 374.415,97).
