The work "Auspicious" in Seal Script by Xiao Huirong was sold in the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2017. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 100,000.00 (€ 11,418.65), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xiao Huirong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Plum Blossoms at Dawn in May 2009 with an auction result of HKD 4,100,000.00 (€ 374,415.97).

Die Arbeit "Auspicious" in Seal Script von Xiao Huirong wurde im Mai 2017 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 100.000,00 (€ 11.418,65) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xiao Huirong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Plum Blossoms at Dawn im Mai 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.100.000,00 (€ 374.415,97).
