Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2017 Christies in New York held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Empty Valleys by Xiao Haichun. The price achieved of USD 2,250.00 (€ 2,103.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xiao Haichun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape in May 2013 with an auction result of HKD 475,000.00 (€ 47,105.02).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Empty Valleys von Xiao Haichun zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.250,00 (€ 2.103,20) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xiao Haichun erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 475.000,00 (€ 47.105,02).
