Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Scholarly Visiting Amid Rivers And Mountains by Xiang Shengmo was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2016, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 250,000.00 (€ 29,419.81). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xiang Shengmo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dreamin Of The Peach Pavillion in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 5,750,000.00 (€ 534,787.31).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Scholarly Visiting Amid Rivers And Mountains von Xiang Shengmo im Oktober 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 300.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 250.000,00 (€ 29.419,81) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xiang Shengmo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dreamin Of The Peach Pavillion im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.750.000,00 (€ 534.787,31).
