Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy, which included the work Plum Blossom, Bamboo And Rock by Xiang Shengmo. The price achieved of USD 35,000.00 (€ 32,716.40) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xiang Shengmo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dreamin Of The Peach Pavillion in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 5,750,000.00 (€ 534,787.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2017 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Plum Blossom, Bamboo And Rock von Xiang Shengmo zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 32.716,40) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xiang Shengmo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dreamin Of The Peach Pavillion im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.750.000,00 (€ 534.787,31).
